Fixing Breyer Horses

My new Breyer Fun Foals mustang has a pretty big hole in his left nostril. I want to fix it but need suggestions on how to patch. I thought of using a clear enamel like fingernail polish that would bond with the plastic and dry hard. Please offer suggestions! Thanks!

I'm pretty sure ALL breyers have a hole in a nostril. It's not really considered a flaw :)
