Accessories for Your Breyer Horses

Many collectors are content to display their Breyer horses in a simple fashion, with the horses themselves as the main feature and little to no accessories. But some people like to make creative displays to showcase in their homes. There are a variety of accessories available on the market for such endeavors.

While any toy store would probably carry many nice-looking props and accessories, there are specially designed Breyer goods to set off your collection if you are interested in them. Here are a few of the products available from the Breyer horses website; these may be available in various other collectible stores as well.

Living Quarters: What horse couldn’t use a comfortable stable to live in? There is a Breyer two-stall natural wood barn available for your horses, a deluxe wood barn with an open side that fits up to three horses, as well as a run-in barn with an open roof to easily display your horses.

Riding Accessory Sets: Many collectors like to change their horses’ riding accessories throughout the year. There are Breyer outfits available for all seasons, blankets, traditional English and Western accessories, and even wooden saddle stands to hold gear. Various bridle sets, leads and neon-colored children’s sets are also available. For special occasions, there is even a winner’s circle set complete with a trophy, blanket, sash and ribbons.

Cowgirls and Cowboys: If you’d like to have a human or two to set your scene, you may want to put a cowgirl, such as Breyer’s “Kylie Cowgirl,” who comes in a black and teal outfit complete with chaps and a cowgirl hat, or their male equivalent, “Austin Cowboy,” who wears a similar outfit, but with a yellow shirt.

There’s also a veterinarian with a care kit, as well as a show jumper called “Brenda,” and a dressage rider, both in full riding gear. Other Breyer “people” include a blacksmith, junior rider “Ashley” and various other cowboys and cowgirls.

Jumping Obstacles: To keep your horses in shape, a variety of jumping obstacles are available, including a stone wall, a set of fences, a natural stained-wood jump and a tall hunter jump. There is also a corral available.

Trucks and Trailers: You may already have a truck collection to showcase alongside your Breyer horses, but if not, the Breyer “Dually” has a working tailgate, doors, and hitch, and attaches to the matching Breyer trailer, which fits two horses.
