Box or No Box

The horses definitely sell for more if they are in the box.  However, Breyers don't lose value outside the box the way that a lot of other models and collectibles do.  I have noticed that "MIB" (Mint In Box) models sell for only a little bit more than a clean, undamaged model without the box.

Most Breyers are sold unboxed. It isn't at all unusual.

However, if you ditch the boxes, you will still want to wrap your horses carefully to keep them from getting chipped or broken.  I don't think you will end up saving that much space, in the end!  The boxes do a good job of protecting the models - as you can see, comparing the shape of your own boxes with the shape of the models inside!

people tend to buy breyers with their boxes. but if the box is damaged then you could sell them without it.
